Maryland’s new lawn fertilizer law is designed to protect
the Chesapeake Bay from excess nutrients entering its
waters from a variety of urban sources, including golf
courses, parks, recreation areas, athletic fields, businesses and
hundreds of thousands of suburban and urban lawns.
