Pepco is constantly planning and preparing for severe weather year-round.

We are closely monitoring the storm and regional weather forecast. The current weather model indicates that we should expect a wintry mix of rain, snow and strong winds that could cause some customers to lose power.

We have more than 150 internal crews and more than 450 contractors already here working on our system available to respond if needed.

As we prepare, we also want our customers to be prepared in case severe weather does occur. We recommend customers always keep available an emergency storm kit with flashlights, extra batteries, non-perishable foods and bottled water. Make sure cell phones are charged.

We also ask customers to let us know if they lose their power. They can report outages by calling 1-877-PEPCO62, visiting pepco.com or through our mobile app, available for download at Pepco Mobile

As a safety reminder, never go near a downed wire and assume that all downed wires are energized. If you see a downed wire, report it immediately by calling 1-877-PEPCO62.
