Police: Father shoots and stabs daughter in Md. shooting

 Two people were shot and a man and his 3-year-old daughter are dead after Prince George’s County responded to the report of a double-shooting in Temple Hills, Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to the 4200 block of Farmer Place in Temple Hills, where a man shot a woman and a man. Both of the victims have life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital, police said.

The investigation shows while police were still at the scene of the shooting, they started pursuing the suspect/shooter, who was driving a Nissan Altima, authorities said.

The suspect stopped at Beech Rd. and Branch Ave., where an exchange of gunfire happened, police said. The suspect then stopped again in the 4600 block of Branch Avenue, where another exchange of gunfire happened, police said. The suspect was shot and killed, authorities said.
