Prince George’s County government offices will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2014 in observance of Columbus Day. However, the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment announces that the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill and all waste management facilities and collection services (including refuse and recycling) will operate on a normal schedule. Bulky trash collections will not operate on October 13 and will resume on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation, will operate a normal route service on Monday, October 13, except for Routes 51, which serves the County government buildings.  The County’s Para-transit service and Call-A-Bus will not run on October 13.  Normal operations of TheBus and Para-transit services will resume on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement will also be closed on Monday, October 13, 2014 for the Columbus Day holiday.  Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

In addition, Prince George’s CountyClick 3-1-1 will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2014 and will return to normal operations on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.  However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com/
