Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III Announces FY 2015 Community Partnership Grant Program
Upper Marlboro, MD – The Office of Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III, is accepting applications for the FY 2015 Community Partnership Grant (CPG) Program. Approximately $1.6 million in funding is available to eligible non-profits through the CPG. Local non-profit organizations that provide community-based program initiatives to help foster the growth and development of people and communities in the County are encouraged to apply.
Any organization, institution or association, incorporated as a private, non-profit organization as designated under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and providing services in Prince George’s County is eligible. However, only one application per organization will be accepted. The deadline for application submission is December 19, 2014. “Non-profit organizations based in or serving Prince George’s County are vital in assisting the government in supporting those in need throughout our communities,” said Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III. “We have awarded nearly $5 million to non-profits in the first three years of this grant program under my administration. By working with and supporting our non-profits, we will continue to see progress made in education, public safety, economic development, health, and the quality of life for all Prince Georgians. I encourage all eligible non-profits to apply for a Community Partnership Grant.”
Applications will be date and time-stamped by Office of Management and Budget (OMB) personnel upon receipt. E-mail and facsimile application submissions will NOT be accepted. Applications submitted after the deadline of December 19, 2014, will be disqualified from competitive review. The OMB Grants Management Unit will conduct an internal review of each application submission to ensure that applicants meet all outlined eligibility requirements. Additionally, the Executive Review Panel will fully evaluate all complete application submissions and present final award recommendations to the Office of the County Executive for final approval and funds disbursement.
