County Suspends Waste Collection Services for Friday, March 6, 2015

The Prince George’s County Department of the Environment has cancelled all regular trash, bulky and curbside recycling collections scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2015 due to road or weather-related conditions and issues the following schedule for missed collections:

  • County-contracted trash collections will resume on their next regularly scheduled collection day starting next week.
  • All residential curbside recycling collections scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2015 and those missed on Thursday, March 5 will be collected on Saturday, March 7, 2015.  Residents are advised to leave their collection containers at curbside.
  • Every effort will be made to complete all missed bulky trash collections scheduled for Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6 beginning Monday, March 9, 2015.

In addition, all services located at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill in Upper Marlboro, including the Brown Station Road Public Container Pad and Recycling Area, the Household Hazardous Acceptance Site, the Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site, the Scrap Tire and Appliance Disposal sites, and the Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Center in Brandywine are currently open.  The Prince George’s County Yard Waste Composting Facility and the Prince George’s County Materials Recycling Facility are also operating today.
