
The Commission for Education Excellence will hold its second meeting of the new year. The Commission for Education Excellence is a volunteer advisory committee formed by Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III to provide advice on various educational related matters.
The Commission is charged with the engagement of the community to enhance the image of Prince George’s County Public Schools; and the alignment of County agency resources to improve support for school system needs, and the evaluation of innovative programs, policies and initiatives targeted towards improving the educational achievement of all County students. The Commission will work collaboratively with all appropriate stakeholders, including the Prince George’s County Board of Education, state and local elected officials, and other community partners to achieve its purposes.
