SMRT Final Alternatives Report Issued

The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) has issued the FINAL Alternatives Report for the SMRT project.

The Final Report presents a balanced summary of an array of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) alternatives and options, engineering and environmental analyses, alternatives analyses, ridership forecasting, cost estimates, economic analysis, stakeholder coordination, public involvement and other technical studies and coordination efforts made to date. The report also provides MTA’s recommended technology and next steps.
