Let’s Talk About Composting
Wednesday, May 22, 2024 @ 7:00 PM
Did you get your green compost bin? Are you still not quite sure what to do with it? Come get some useful information, share your concerns, and get your questions answered at this interactive, live, virtual community meeting. We’ll start with a discussion of why composting is important, both for waste management and for addressing climate change. Next, Jessica Moore from the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment will share important tips about how to participate in the County’s state-of-the-art, user-friendly Curbside Compost Pickup Program — “Every Meal, Every Scrap, Every Monday!” Then, you’ll have the opportunity to talk with your neighbors in facilitated small group discussions about questions, concerns, challenges, and solutions. Build your confidence to make a real difference for your community!

This session will be most useful for residents in unincorporated areas of Prince George’s County who get trash pick-up through the County.
All are welcome! Tell your neighbors! Register to get the zoom link.
Your answers to the questions on the registration page will help us meet the needs of the group.
