UPDATE: Prince George’s County Trash Pickup: Emergency Alert from DOE

CURRENT STATUS of waste collections for Saturday, February 20

Due to icy road conditions persisting into the weekend, some routes receiving regular Thursday and Friday trash/recycling collections, will not be able to be serviced. If your trash or recycling is not collected today, the Department asks residents to bring their carts in. 

Please be aware that collections will be serviced on your next regularly scheduled collection day. We apologize for this inconvenience, as we work through these most adverse weather conditions.

Missed bulky collections will be picked up by Tuesday, February 23rd. The Department asks that residents keep their bulky items at the curb, if allowed by their homeowner’s association (HOA)

M.E.R.C.Y. House Ministry Pack A Purse/Shaving Bag – Donate New or Gently Used Purse or Shaving Bag and Donate Toiletries

We all have 1, 2, or 3 purses we are not currently using. So why don’t you put it to GREAT usage? DONATE: I’m asking for New / Gently used purses and shaving bags.


In process of filling them with essentials and toiletries and donating them to men and women shelters.
Drop off c/o Tasya Arrington MERCY HOUSE / St. Stephen Baptist Church, 5757 Temple Hill Road, Temple Hills, MD 207848, or email Mercyhouseministry@yahoo.com and can schedule a time to drop off at MERCY House, 4402 Cedell Place, Temple Hills, MD 20748.
We’re also accepting toiletries.
