On Thursday, January 28th from 7-8pm, Prince George’s County will host a virtual community meeting to engage stakeholders on the impact the cultural arts have on economic development as a part of the Prince George’s County Cultural Art Study (PGCCAS)PGCCAS is the first comprehensive inventory and assessment of the diverse arts and culture ecology in Prince George’s County. This study will develop strategies and recommendations on how to integrate cultural arts into the County’s economic development and land use planning strategies.

From A Poet’s Point of View – An MLK Tribute- Saturday, January 16th (1-3pm EST)

The Prince George’s Office of the Poet Laureate invites you to join us as we present three powerful poets, 2021 Prince George’s County Youth Poet Laureate, Sainey Ceesay; Orville Walker (aka “Orville The Poet); and 2020 Prince George’s County Youth Poet Laureate, Marissa Michel, in “From A Poet’s Point of View – An MLK Tribute,” the kick-off of a monthly virtual poetry presentation and cultural conversation.
