Final Literacy Through Poetry of 2020 (Virtual) Saturday, December 19th

Please join the Office of the Prince George’s Poet Laureate Saturday, December 19th from 1-3pm on Zoom as they host the final 2020 “Literacy Through Poetry” session, a poetry workshop and open mic event.

  
The Featured Poet will be Ann Harding Woodworth and the Featured Visual Artist will be Kimeko Robinson.  The event is free but advance registration is required.

Employ Prince George’s Launches Access 2 Education Scholarship Fund

Employ Prince George’s, Prince George’s County’s principal workforce development entity, has partnered with 2U, Inc., a Lanham-based education technology company, to launch a scholarship program that will build Prince George’s County’s pipeline of technical talent and put high-quality training programs within reach of residents from underrepresented backgrounds. The Access 2 Education Scholarship Fund will allow historically underrepresented candidates in tech the opportunity to enroll in 2U’s career accelerating boot camps in coding, data analytics and cybersecurity through local universities like George Washington University.
