Traffic Alert: Upper Marlboro Day Road Closures

Important notification from Alert Prince George’s.
Good Afternoon,

Tomorrow, May 18th, in celebration of Upper Marlboro Community Day, there will be several road closures, parking restrictions, and detours in and around downtown Upper Marlboro. Road Closures will begin as early as 6am and reopen around 6pm.

Traffic Advisory: Bowie State University

Good Morning,

Prince George’s Police Department reports Bowie State University Commencement ceremony begins at 10am and is expected to conclude at noon today. Expect traffic delays on Laurel Bowie Road (Route 197) in both directions. Please follow police direction and use of alternate routes is recommended.

PGPD District IV Open House 5-18-19

The Prince George’s County Police Department, District IV , is having its “Open House” on Saturday, May 18, 2019, 12 noon until 2:00pm. The event will be held at the Shops at Iverson (formerly Iverson Mall), 3737 Branch Avenue, Temple Hills, Maryland. Come out and meet your police commanders, Community Police officers and more. The police recruitment office will be there to assist with potential applicants. Officers will be available to answer questions . The Youth Explores post 1004 will also be available as well as our police cadets.
