Get Involved in Planning the PGCPS Capital Improvement Program (CIP)!

Students, families and community members are encouraged to attend the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Public Hearing on September 13 to share priorities for school improvements, renovations and new construction. Input from the public hearing will be used to develop the final CIP to be presented for Board approval during the September 18 meeting (which is also open for public comment).


¡Participe en la planificación del Programa de Inversión de Capitales (CIP) de PGCPS!

Se les invita a los estudiantes, familias y miembros de la comunidad a asistir a la audiencia pública sobre el Programa de Inversión de Capitales (CIP) el 13 de septiembre para compartir sus prioridades para las mejoras, renovaciones y nuevas construcciones escolares. Los comentarios de la audiencia pública se utilizarán para desarrollar el CIP final que se presentará a la Junta para su aprobación durante la reunión del 18 de septiembre (la cuál también admitirá comentarios de la comunidad).

What Should You Do?
The most important thing you can do during hurricane season is to get yourself, your family and your home prepared. Some highlights on how to prepare and take action:

Stay informed.

Plan and Take Action- Prepare for the unexpected.

  • Develop an Emergency Plan for your family and for your pets.
  • Put together a basic disaster supplies kit (water, change of clothes, snacks, flashlight, etc.).
  • Recover- Wait until an area is declared safe before returning home.
The following resources are available to help prepare  for the risks and to act on those preparations when alerted by emergency officials:
Refer to the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Ready.gov/hurricanes for comprehensive information on hurricane preparedness at home and in your community.
