Prince George’s County Government Will OPEN AT 10:30 A.M. for Non-Essential Employees.  All County Buildings will open at 10:30a.m.

The Circuit Court for Prince George’s County will open to the public at 10 a.m. Employees are to report at 9:30 a.m.  

Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) – Code Yellow – Schools and offices are closed. EMERGENCY PERSONNEL only must report to work.

Prince George’s County Announces Office Closures for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Department of the Environment (DoE) announces the following services and facilities will be closed or suspended on Monday, January 15, 2018.

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPWT), will operate a regular schedule on Monday, January 15, 2018, except Route 51 (service to the Equestrian Center/Courthouse) will not operate. Regular operations of Route 51 will resume on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. The County’s Call-A-Bus service will not operate on Monday, January 15, 2018. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus services will resume on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2018. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

In addition, Prince George’s CountyClick 3-1-1 will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2018 and will return to regular operations on Tuesday, January 16, 2018; 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.  However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com/.

January 4-5 – Code Orange – PGCPS schools and offices will open with two-hour delay

January 4-5, 2018 – Code Orange  Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) – Schools and offices will open with a two-hour delay. Emergency personnel are not eligible for liberal leave and must report to work on time.

Note: Conditions will be reassessed at 6:30 a.m. for any further delays.

  • There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
  • There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
  • Any other school program requiring transportation prior to noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center.
  • All field trips will be cancelled.
  • Food Services will offer breakfast.
