Scholar Of The Week – Crossland High School Senior Kaloni Alston

Name – Kaloni Alston

Cumulative GPA – 4.10

Academics – Kaloni is in the International Baccalaureate Program seeking an IB Diploma. She has also taken AP Government and Spanish 3.

Extracurricular Activities – Kaloni is a member of the National Honor Society and the Prince George’s County Emerging Leadership Program. She is the captain of the schools band dance line and pom pon team.

Future Plans – Kaloni has been accepted to Bethune Cookman University. She has applied to Ohio State Univeristy, Purdue University, Drexel Univeristy, University of Delaware, and her first choice Cornell University. She plans to study mathematics and mechanical engineering.

Interesting Notes – Kaloni is CPR certified and was the recipient of the Jesse J. Warr Award last school year. She tutors her peers at Crossland and volunteers at Patuxent River Park. She has maintained honor roll throughout high school.
