Prince George’s County Animal Services Facility to Participate in NBC4 “Clear the Shelters” Day

On Saturday, August 15, 2015, the Department of the Environment’s Animal Management Division (AMD) will join NBC4 Washington and hundreds of animal shelters in D.C., Maryland and Virginia for “Clear the Shelters” Day – a pet adoption event. During this special one-day event, pet adoptions are free at the Animal Services Facility.

Expert staff and volunteers will be available to assist potential adopters select the best dog or cat for their family, as well as provide tips for welcoming a new pet into their home. AMD will share live updates with NBC4 on successful adoptions throughout the day and post updates on Facebook and Twitter using #ClearTheShelters.
