Today, Thursday, March 10, at 3:00 p.m. in the Media Room of the County Administration Building in Upper Marlboro, Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III will unveil his proposed FY 2017 budget. Residents and stakeholders can watch the presentation online on the County’s website, http://www.princegeorgescountymd.gov as well as through Periscope at County Executive Baker’s Twitter account, @CountyExecBaker.
“After months of meeting with departments and talking with citizens and businesses around the county, I am pleased to submit my proposed operating and capital budgets for fiscal year 2017,” said County Executive Baker. “I am confident that with the priorities outlined in this budget, we will continue to see our investments pay off for our citizens and promote Prince George’s County as the ‘Place to Be’.
Once the FY 2017 Proposed Budget is submitted by the County Executive, the Prince George’s County Council must adopt the FY 2017 Proposed Budget on or before June 1, 2016.
