MoMENtum: Moving into the Millennium

The Department of Family Services, Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Division is excited to announce its continuation of the MoMENtum Conference Series for men and young males.  MoMENtum:  Moving into the Millennium “Elevating the Male Perspective on Domestic Violence”.  The conference will promote community dialogue to educate men and young males on healthy relationships. Our Featured Guest will be United States Congressman Anthony Brown.  All are invited!  Registration is open now! http://pgcmen930.eventbrite.com

Presenters will include:

  • Malik Washington, Educator
  • Sumayya Coleman, National Expert and Consultant
  • Elder Danny Prince, II, I.M.P.A.C.T. Youth Director, St. Stephen Baptist Church
  • Other leaders, educators, and scholars

 

During the conference we will:

  • Highlight the importance of mentoring and collaboration amongst nonprofit community partners
  • Create a dialogue about healthy relationships and non-violent responses to conflict
  • Facilitate a discussion on developing healthy perceptions of masculinity and fatherhood
  • Promote mentorship as a key to raising awareness about domestic violence in our community
