Detectives Investigate Homicide in Camp Springs

Homicide Unit detectives are actively working to arrest the person who killed a man in a Camp Springs home. The victim is 61-year-old Lorenzo Dancy of Brooks Drive in Northeast Washington. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.

On January 24th, at approximately 12:20 am, patrol officers were called to a home in the 6700 block of Geneva Lane for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived on scene, officers found the victim inside of the home suffering from a stab wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.
