DISTRICT 8 COUNCIL MEMBER MONIQUE ANDERSON-WALKER HOLDS PRESS CONFERENCE TO ANNOUNCE LAUNCH OF #DRIVINGITHOME – A SAFE DRIVING PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVE

Council Member Monique Anderson-Walker, joined by At-Large Council Member Calvin S. Hawkins, II, State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy, Deputy County Administrative Officer for Public Safety Mark Magaw, and Prince George’s County Fire Chief Benjamin Barksdale, will hold a press conference at Crossland High School on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., to announce the official launch of #DrivingItHome – a partnership initiative to change the driving culture in District 8 and throughout Prince George’s County.
#DrivingItHome is being launched in response to a series of tragic and deadly accidents on Maryland Route 210/Indian Head Highway. The ongoing initiative will focus on raising awareness for safe driving in Prince George’s County, stressing six areas crucial to highway safety; seatbelt use; texting and driving; driver distractions; drunk driving; highway speed and aggressive driving.
