TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will operate limited, modified service on Independence Day, July 4th. This is the first time the County has activated transit service on this holiday. On July 4, the following routes will operate from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Route 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 24, 26, 30, 32, 33, and 35. DPW&T staff will post schedules for the respective routes on the Department’s website under “Maps and Schedules,” at Metrorail Stations bus bay shelters and on transit buses. Regular operations of TheBus will resume on Friday, July 5, 2019.
In addition, the County’s Call-A-Bus service, including dialysis transportation, will not operate on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus services will resume on Friday, July 5, 2019.
The Prince George’s County Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Regular business hours will resume on Friday, July 5, 2019.
Also, Prince George’s CountyClick 3-1-1 will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2019 and will resume regular operations on Friday, July 5, 2019; 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com/.
