Join the Prince George’s County Poet Laureate, Sistah Joy, for the Final Poet Laureate Reading Series Event of 2019!
Join Prince George’s County Poet Laureate, Sistah Joy, tomorrow, December 21st from 12pm-2pm for, “The Gift of Poetry and Art” at the Suitland Community Center, 5600 Regency Lane, District Heights, MD 20747.
This free poetry event is the final 2019 Poet Laureate Reading Series Event of 2019 and will feature poet and artist Diane Wilbon Parks.
Additional artists include multiple Youth Poetry Ambassadors, Musician Doc Powell on Djembe Drum, and Vocalist Christine Jenkins. Light refreshments will be served.
The event, which includes an Open Mic, is presented by the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) in partnership with the Maryland National Park and Planning Commission.
