PGSAO Food Drive – July 13

updated Bravejustice 3

Greetings Prince Georgians,

As our community continues to navigate these times and attempt to regain some normalcy, we still feel the impacts of the challenges faced resulting from the coronavirus pandemic. However, we have much to be thankful for and I am pleased to announce that we have teamed up with The Common Market to launch Farmers to Families Food Box Program in Prince George’s County. Through this wonderful initiative we will provide free groceries for families who have been impacted by the pandemic. Every Monday, we will be at a different location handing out food boxes to residents in need.

Our first food distribution will take place on Monday, July 13, 2020 with Prince George’s County Council Member Rodney Streeter and Community of Hope AME Church at Iverson Mall from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

I want you to know that my office is here for you despite the pandemic we are facing. Every day we remain committed to the work for our community and pursing justice for all segments of the population. Please continue to be safe during this time.
