For the Old Branch Ave Water Main Replacement Project (Project ID#BL4985A09) to complete the connections of newly installed piping for service (tie-ins) and complete installation of flow control vaults, WSSC Water will begin overnight work along Allentown Road Eastbound near Old Branch Road starting Sunday, May 31. Work will take place Sunday through Thursday, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., for approximately 6 to 8 weeks, weather permitting.

What to expect:

The right-hand lane of Allentown Road Eastbound will be closed overnight.

Two thru lanes on Allentown Road Eastbound will remain open.

The roadway will reopen daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., with steel plates in place.

Right turns from Old Branch Avenue onto Allentown Road Eastbound will remain open.

No changes are expected for Allentown Road Westbound traffic.
