Inclement Weather Suspends Waste Collection Services 
Wednesday collections will resume on Thursday, February 21 Weather Permitting

LARGO, MD – Due to weather-related conditions on Wednesday, February 20, the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment announces all curbside bulky, regular trash and recycling collections have been cancelled. Every effort will be made to schedule pick-ups on the next regularly scheduled day after that’s day regular collections.  However, if collections are suspended for two consecutive days, those collections will resume the following week.  Residents are reminded that collection pickups can occur from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

In addition, the Materials Recycling Facility in Capitol Heights, the Organics Composting Facility in Upper Marlboro and the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill, in Upper Marlboro, and all associated services including the Brown Station Road Public Container Pad and Recycling Area, the Household Hazardous Acceptance Site, the Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site, scrap tire and appliance disposal sites, and the Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Center in Brandywine are also closed due to weather-related conditions.
