Will you join GateWay and County Executive Angela Alsobrooks on March 2nd?

Gateway Breakfast 3-2-19.png

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet our new Prince George’s County Executive, the Honorable Angela Alsobrooks.  Join us March 2nd for a delicious breakfast, good fellowship, and a message of hope for our youth.

Opportunities today are incredibly sparse for many young men who are at greater risk of being ensnared in the school-to-prison pipeline. We are hosting this prayer breakfast to help change the outcome for these young men.

Your ticket purchases this year will allow GateWay to once again leverage the power of “WE” to lift our youth. Your attendance will allow us to serve additional young men with leadership and life skills training, mentoring, reading and math support, and to add other subject areas that will subsequently become a part of the Boarding Academy experience.

Thank you for your support of the GateWay Second Chance Foundation. Doors will open at 9:00a.m., if you can’t attend please consider donating!

Thurgood Marshall Middle School Black History Celebration 2/28/19 @ 6:30 p.m

Thurgood Marshall Middle

Thurgood Marshall Middle School is celebrating 25 years of the school’s name, from Roger B. Taney.
As part of Black History Month we will have a video presentation on the history of the school name change to Thurgood Marshall from Roger B. Taney Middle School.

We will have some of the staff and students who attended the school during that time frame. They will share the history and the efforts to get the name change.

Please join us in celebrating this Historic moment with our students and families, along with Camp Springs Civic Association members and citizens.

We welcome all to join us for refreshments along with photos in front of our full photo of Thurgood Marshall.
